Even if the fall of the Berlin Wall has decreted the end of socialism, Antonio Gramci’s thought still remains actual in the sense that we can consider it as an alternative for the totalitarianism of the real socialism, as well for the abuses of the doctrines of free markets. In the neoliberal globalization we witness a regression of the social conquests gotten by the workers. Supported in the interests of the great capital and inspired by a narcissist ideology, the dominant classes that today control the global mass media spread out its world vision for the planetary hearings that generally are detached from any type of innovative political movement, resulting in an inestimable loss for the future of democracy.
